Ruben Castro (BE, 1990) graduated in 2014 from the University of Leuven in Gent with a cum laude degree in architecture.
Since 2015 he has worked with Christian Kerez and Office Haratori in Zurich, together with completing an artist residency at the Jan van Eyck Academie in Maastricht.
His most recent years were spent in Haldenstein, Switzerland heading the model workshop at Atelier Peter Zumthor. He was awarded with Toegepast 20, Z33 in Hasselt and selected as a finalist for a prize for young architects by the Flemish Government Architect.
Former exhibitions of his work include: Z33, Hasselt; C-Mine, Genk; FoMu, Antwerp; DeSingel, Antwerp; Bureau Europe, Maastricht; Schunk *, Heerlen; Goyang Aram Nuri Arts Center, Seoul. Currently he has works on display in the Bündner Kunstmuseum in Chur.
He is also part of the collective design duo Lee Castro who showed work at De Brakke Grond and P/////AKT in Amsterdam and this year at Collectible, Brussels.
